Robyynn grew up in the heartland of America but worked and lived in some big cities before traveling internationally.
She appreciates both urban and rural life.
Her work reflects skill sets derived from classical training plus multiple technologies. Now she is passing these skills on to adults and children in private art classes.
She learned draftsman's skills and perspective rendering while working with architects at the Watergate Complex. She enjoyed the multicultural life of the capitol city of DC . Her friendships there included the famous San Salvadoran painter, Benjamin Canas.
When Robyynn was a child her favorite activity was drawing. This love never faded and eventually it earned her a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Wright State University. She studied painting with Barry Gelt, and Earney Koerlin from Yale. Alvin Raphael and Ray Must taught her drawing and graphic design at the Dayton Art Institute museum school. She has spent years doing travel and independent study.
She uses many different mediums, but oil paintings are best for her artistic process. Each subject manifests in its own individual way. The images have a unique point of view that shows her love of people. Her art is based upon their inner spirits.
She still loves playing with paint!
